Day Five

It’s Chinese New Year Day! Today marks the beginning of the Year of the Horse. Connor was expected to be born on Feb 13, after the end of Chinese New Year, so my mom says he is a smart baby for coming out early to collect all the red envelopes.

My mom has a feast planned for tonight, but unfortunately we will be missing out. Her home cooked meals are always the best. Between all the preparation for Chinese New Year and helping with the baby any way she can, I know she must be exhausted even though she insists she is fine. Thanks so much for all your help MaMa!

Viv’s family comes over with dinner tonight. Although Viv’s mom does not cook very often, she has been making us food and Viv’s dad has been helping with the dishes. It really helps us save our energy to take care of Connor through the night. Thanks so much PawPaw and GungGung!
